Tony Laboy
Licensed Health Insurance Advisor helping individuals, families, self-employed professionals, and businesses compare health coverage options with clarity and confidence. My role is to simplify the process, explain the differences between available plans, and guide you toward coverage that fits your healthcare needs and budget.
Rather than assuming one plan is right for everyone, I take the time to review the coverage options available through the carriers and products I represent—including Marketplace/ACA plans, eligible private coverage options, and additional benefits—so you can understand the differences in cost, network, benefits, and eligibility. The goal is to give you clear information and guidance so you can make an informed decision for yourself, your family, or your business.

Do you offer both Marketplace and private plans?
Yes. TRUEBOUND can help you compare Marketplace/ACA plans as well as available private coverage options. Marketplace plans are ACA-compliant and may include premium tax credits for eligible households. Certain private options may offer different network, deductible, and benefit structures and may require medical underwriting. We review the differences so you can understand which route may better fit your healthcare needs, budget, doctors, prescriptions, and eligibility.
Will my pre-existing conditions be covered?
ACA-compliant Marketplace plans cannot deny coverage or charge you more because of a pre-existing condition, and covered treatment for pre-existing conditions begins according to the plan’s normal effective-date and benefit rules. Private coverage can work differently: some options use medical underwriting, exclusions, limitations, or waiting periods depending on the product. Before you enroll, we review the specific plan documents and eligibility requirements so you understand how your medical needs may be handled.
How do I know if I qualify for a subsidy?
Marketplace premium-tax-credit eligibility depends on Marketplace rules and factors such as projected household income, household size, tax-filing status, location, and access to other qualifying coverage. You do not need to enter household income on our initial contact form. When we speak, we can review the information needed to estimate whether Marketplace financial assistance may apply and compare available coverage options.
What is the difference between an HMO and PPO?
An HMO generally requires you to receive non-emergency care within the plan’s network and may require referrals for certain specialists. A PPO generally provides more flexibility when choosing providers and may include some out-of-network benefits, although those services can cost more. Exact rules vary by plan, so we compare provider networks, referrals, deductibles, copays, coinsurance, and out-of-network benefits—not just the HMO or PPO label.
Can you help with dental, vision and supplemental plans?
Yes. In addition to health coverage, we can discuss available dental, vision, accident, critical illness, hospital-related supplemental benefits, and life insurance options. These products are reviewed separately so you can decide which benefits add meaningful protection for your situation rather than automatically adding coverage you may not need.
Do you work with employer groups?
Yes. TRUEBOUND can help business owners explore available health and benefit options for employees. The conversation can include group structure, employee participation, contribution strategy, plan choices, and additional benefits. The goal is to find an approach that makes sense for both the business and its employees while clearly explaining costs and coverage.
Is there a cost to work with you?
TRUEBOUND does not currently charge a separate fee simply to discuss or compare the insurance options we offer. Insurance professionals may receive compensation from insurance carriers or other parties when coverage is enrolled, and compensation can vary by product or arrangement. Any premium, plan fee, or other cost applicable to your coverage will be reviewed before enrollment.
